Internal and External Pile

Internal Piles (Hemorrhoids): These are swollen veins inside the rectum. They often cause symptoms like painless bleeding during bowel movements. Internal piles typically don’t cause pain unless they prolapse (protrude outside the anus).

External Piles (Hemorrhoids): These occur outside the anus and are usually painful. They can cause itching, discomfort, and swelling, and sometimes develop blood clots (thrombosis), leading to severe pain.

Both types of piles are commonly caused by factors like constipation, straining, pregnancy, and sitting for long periods. Treatment varies from lifestyle changes and topical creams to surgical options for severe cases.
